You can omit extensions of the image filename. Doc-O-Matic will automatically attempt to locate an image file for the output format on the Image Path. The first file Doc-O-Matic detects that matches the filename is used for the image representation.
Here is a list of file formats Doc-O-Matic attempts to locate:
Output Format
Filename Extensions
PDF
.bmp, .jpg, .png and .gif files
HTML / HTML Help
.jpg, .png and .gif files. .bmp files are converted into .png files.
RTF
.bmp, .jpg, .png and gif files
Make sure that you have stored your image in the needed formats in your image folders.
You can add several attributes to your image tag. Depending on the output format images can appear as floating images, as linked images and you can insert an alternate image hint text. Attributes are inserted following the image name and they are separated by commas.
Notes
You can use filename extensions, but we recommend to use filenames without filename extensions because limiting the file to one extension results in errors for specific output formats.
