There are several ways to back up files that you edit in the Editor. Doc-O-Matic saves backup files in a .bak file to the project directory.

• To create a new backup file every time you save a topic in the Topic Editor, click Create new backup file when saving (*.nnn.bak).
• To store only one backup file, click One backup file (*.bak).
• To prevent the creation of backup files, click Do not create backup files (not recommended).
