Using the Element Editor you can edit a specific Formatting Element. If the element is a paragraph element (those that have a paragraph marker attached in the elements list), you can edit all aspects of the element. If the element is a text only element you can only change the character format of the element. The following values can be set in each output format. You can:
Font: Set the font of the selected element. Fonts are inherited automatically for all Topic Page elements except code block and code from User Section elements and the Text element.
Size: Set the font size of the selected element. To pass on the font size from User Section, Inline Section elements and the Text element to all Topic Page elements and the corresponding Inline Section elements select Inherit.

Color (Text): Set the text color of the selected element.
Indentation: Set the indentation (left and right) and the indentation of the first line (first)

Note: Editing block elements you can only set paragraph formatting in the Element Editor.
To edit elements in PDF
Charset: Select the character set you want to use for this element. This setting overwrites the setting of the character set for the whole document on the Files & Format > Files & Folders > Character Set page.
Colors: Select the color for the background.
Line spacing: Set the line spacing of the element.
To draw borders in HTML and PDF
Select the Active check box next to the border you want to be drawn.
In Width specify the width of the border line.
In Offset move the border up or down.
Positive values set off borders from the text element.
Note: Borders in PDF are always drawn around the background (this is the text and before and after spacing). If you change the before and after spacing of an element this effects border offsets.
By default the border has the same color as the text.
To apply a color to your border, click the Color arrow.
To draw an invisible border, select Background or None so that the color of the border is the same as the color of the background.
Notes
You can also select multiple elements and edit them together.
