Using this dialog box you can create documentation for a symbol or a new topic.
To create generic topics
In the Topic ID box, enter a topic ID. Each topic must have a unique ID.
In the Group box, the topic ID of the topic selected in the hierarchy appears.
To use another topic as group topic for your new topic, click Clear or browse for another topic using thePick Topic dialog.
In the Template Topic box, do one of the following:
Leave the box empty to use a plain notepad for your topic.
Click the Template arrow, and then select a predefined template topic. Predefined template topics are part of the template.dtx, that you can find in the support subdirectory in your Doc-O-Matic directory.
Browse to an existing topic in your project.
Type a topic ID in the Template Topic box.
Under Options you can apply the topic properties version number and unfinished to your new topic.
To create symbol topics
Topic IDs for symbol topics are generated automatically, the ID appears in the Topic ID box.
In the Template Topic box, do one of the following:
Leave the box empty to use a plain notepad for your topic.
Click the Template arrow, and then select a predefined template topic. Predefined template topics are part of the template.dtx, that you can find in the support subdirectory in your Doc-O-Matic directory.
Browse to an existing topic in your project.
Type a topic ID in the Template Topic box.
Select the Adjust template check box, to adjust templates to circumstances of the current topic.
Under Options you can apply the topic properties version number and unfinished
To use the current settings as QuickDoc settings, select the Use as QuickDoc settings for this kind of item check box.
