Ignoring Comments and Using Tokens

In Doc-O-Matic there are several ways to ignore certain or all comments.

  1. To ignore all in-source comments, clear the Use comments in source code check box on the [General Settings] > Documentation > Comment Finding page.
  2. To ignore all comments, that do not start with triple slash (C++, C# and Delphi) and triple quote (VB.NET), select the Use triple slash comments only check box on this page.
  3. To ignore comments that do not start with specific characters called Tokens, select the Force token usage for source symbols on the [General Settings] > Documentation > Comment Finding > Token page.
  4. To ignore your in-source comments only if there are off-source comments available, set the usage of in-source comments (implementation and declaration location) to fallback on the [General Settings] > Documentation > Topic Processing > Multi Topics page.
  5. Use the Skip Token to ignore a specific comment block.
