Doc-O-Matic has three ways for you to determine when your project is automatically parsed.
To set up project parsing
To parse new files when they are added to the project, select the Parse new files instantlycheck box.
To parse your project when it is opened, select the Parse projects when opening check box.
To parse your project before building it, select the Parse projects when buildingcheck box. In these instances an accurate documentation is guaranteed because it is up-to-date when it is being built. However, a build takes more time with this option is turned on.
Notes
In Doc-O-Matic 10 only UTF-8 files can be edited. Source files not encoded in UTF-8 are parsed and included in the output. The content is not displayed in the Editor and can not be edited. Source files can be converted to UTF-8 in several parts of the program (Editor and Project Manager). If the check box on this page is selected, Doc-O-Matic scans the project for files not encoded in UTF-8 each time the project is updated and asks if the source files should be converted. If you deselect the check box Ask to convert source code files to UTF-8 you can prevent that Doc-O-Matic scans the project for unconverted files. The option to convert files will available in the Editor for the current topic in either case.
