How to get here: In Settings on the General Settings tab, select [General Settings] > General > Master Project.
Default Setting
By default Doc-O-Matic stores your TOC information in the Doc-O-Matic project file (.dox). If you have multiple projects that have the same TOC for example the translation of your documentation you can store the TOC information in an external file (.doxtoc) and reuse it for all projects.
To use an external file to store TOC information
Select the Store TOC externally box.
Browse to the folder where you want to store your DOXTOC file.
Enter a filename.
Note: When setting the TOC information for the first time the current TOC information in the project will be stored to the external TOC file.
Notes
If you use a master project file for your project, make sure that Doc-O-Matic can locate the master project file when opening the project. If Doc-O-Matic is not able to locate the master project file it will issue a warning and not load your project.
