How to get here: In Settings on the PDF or RTF Configuration tab, select Files & Format > Page Layout > Formatting > Default Fonts

variable pitch font A font in which a variable amount of horizontal space is allotted to each letter or number. 

fixed pitch font A font in which each character occupies the same amount of horizontal space regardless of its width.
