How to get here: In Settings on the General Settings tab, select [General Settings] > Sections > XML.

Only text enclosed by XMLDoc tags but not XMLDoc tags are extracted.

  1. Select [General Settings] > Sections.
  2. Select an section of the type Ignored Text.
  3. Enter the tag you want to ignore in the XML Doc box in the section definition.
  1. Select [General Settings] > Editor > Standard.
  2. Under Insertion Standard select XMLDoc.

Note that you can add XML tags in the section definitions.

sections Logical areas topics and comment blocks can be divided into. 

starters Characters that indicate that a new section starts in Doc-O-Matic. 

default section A section that is used in Doc-O-Matic for text at the beginning of a topic that does not start with section starters. 

XMLDoc A comment style that is processed by the C# and VB.NET compiler in the .NET framework. 

ignored section A section that is not included in the output.
