Generic Source Files

In this section you'll learn how to add generic source file to your Doc-O-Matic project. Generic source files are all source files that support comments and are not listed in the File Types list. For more information about adding files, see Adding Files. All topics appear in the topic hierarchy and all extracted comments appear in the Topic Preview.

To prepare generic source files

On the Quick Access Toolbar, click Settings .
Click the General Settings tab.
Select [General Settings] > General > File Types > Generic Source.
Click Add.
In the Extension box type the filename extension of your files.
In the Name box type a friendly name for the file type.
Under Extract click one of the comment handling options.
In the Comments box, click Add.
Select your comment style.
Assign a topic ID to each comment to make it identifiable for Doc-O-Matic.
Add your files to the project.
