Class Hierarchy View

Class Hierarchy view shows all classes in your project in a graphical hierarchy. You can completely customize the look and feel of your class hierarchy and include it in your output. 

In the Active menu all available class hierarchies for your project are listed. There is a class hierarchy for the whole project and one for each module. Class Hierarchy view consists of the following parts:

  1. On the View tab, click Class Hierarchy.
  2. In the Active menu, select the class hierarchy you want to edit. There are class hierarchies for your whole project and for each module in your project.
  3. Click Build , to generate the class hierarchy graphics.
  4. You can find them in the graphics subdirectory in your Doc-O-Matic directory.
  5. On the View tab, click Content Manager.
  6. In the hierarchy select the topic in which you want to include your class hierarchy.
  7. In the Topic Editor, click Image .
  8. In the graphics folder select the class hierarchy you want to show.
  9. Click Ok.

The following table describes ribbon buttons, commands and shortcuts:

Zoom Fit
Sets the zoom so that the hierarchy fits in the current window.

ENTER
Opens the source file.

Show Info
Shows information such as name, filename and type of all classes as hints.

Shows the layout property inspector.

External Classes
When this option is enabled, the class information in project databases is used to display class information on external classes.

Exclude Selected Classes
Exclude the selected class or classes from your class hierarchy.

Manage Excluded Classes
Opens the Excluded from Class Hierarchy dialog box. It shows all excluded classes and you can show excluded classes again.
